Off to Effervescents du Monde

I was up at 4.30am this morning to head off to Dijon to judge in the Effervescents du Monde competition.

I am here with a team of judges from Plumpton College, invited to judge at the competition by Richard Marchal of the University of Reims.

It was a long journey but at last we’re here. Alas I’m not seeing Dijon at its best: the whole centre of the city is a building site with seemingly most roads having been dug up as a new tram system is installed, to be opened next year.

First judging tomorrow.
