Les Caves Bailly Lapierre

After a morning’s judging at Effervescents du Monde, and the obligatory beautiful and large lunch served to all judges, we took a long bus ride from Dijon to Les Caves Bailly Lapierre. I had judged some of their wines in the competition and liked them so was looking forward to the visit. The cellars are huge (many hectares) buried into a hill near Chablis. The winery is also inside the hill and makes mostly rather nice cremant.
